We’re excited to announce the Call for Speakers for the 2017 Queerness and Games Conference (April 1 – 2, 2017) is now available! Submissions will be accepted through November 15, and applicants can expect to be notified by December 15. See the Call for Speakers here for full details.
As always, QGCon welcomes sessions that bridge creativity and critique. QGCon attendees come from many fields (academia, activism, the games industry), so accessibility and the opportunity for dynamic engagement is key. While the focus of the event is the intersection of LGBTQ issues and video games, the organizers also welcome submissions that address race, gender, disability, socio-economic class, and other issues of identity.
Not sure whether your proposal is right for QGCon? Check out this list of suggested topics and presentation formats for game makers and other industry professionals to spark ideas.
We can’t wait to see your submissions for QGCon 2017!
