We’re proud to be welcoming QGC presenters and attendees from both across the Bay Area and across the country! If you’re traveling to the conference and wondering how to get to Berkeley and where to stay, here are some ideas:
Berkeley is accessible by public transportation from both the San Francisco and Oakland airports. BART trains run to a stop close to campus from around the whole Bay Area. Parking near Berkeley campus is limited; however, parking is readily available in other areas of Berkeley.
Due to the accessibility of public transportation, those looking for hotel rooms have a number of options. Hotels along Berkeley’s University Avenue are within walking or bus distance to campus. In addition, hotels near the BART line in San Francisco (many are in the Union Square area) would also be convenient.
The main conference presentations are being held in Berkeley’s historic South Hall, home to the School of Information. This campus map can help guide you once you reach the university. Feel free to contact the conference organizers for more information — and see you in October!
